Stephen is a seasoned business leader of digital transformation in a mobile age who over a 25-year career has delivered outstanding business results across multiple sectors (FMCG, retail, automotive, ecommerce, fin serv, media, technology), most recently guiding Facebook ANZ to world-leading performance as Managing Director.
From 2013 to 2017, Stephen led Facebook’s efforts in Australia and New Zealand to help businesses better use Facebook’s family of apps and services to deliver against their business objectives.
Stephen was responsible for managing Facebook’s overall operations and overseeing strategic partnerships with advertisers and agencies across the region. His tenure at Facebook saw the ANZ business grow from mere start-up to >$1b in annual revenue.
With more than 100k active advertisers in ANZ today, Stephen and his team built Facebook into one of the largest media companies in ANZ, and one of the most successful Facebook businesses in the world.
Stephen has a unique ability to inspire clients, business partners, industry influencers & government leaders on the power of digital and mobile, through building trusted C-level relationships across the ANZ business & political landscapes (eg, McDonald’s, Coca-Cola, Wesfarmers, David Jones, ANZ Bank, Volkswagen, Tourism Australia, Qantas, Optus, The Iconic, ebay).
