Professor Lesley Farrell is Dean at the Melbourne Graduate School of Education. Her research focuses on language and social change, especially relating to the education of globally distributed workforces.
Recent publications include knowledge mobilisation and educational research: Politics, languages and responsibilities and educating the global workforce: Knowledge, knowledge work and knowledge workers.
She is leading the literacy 4.0 project, which is examining the literacy requirements of the new work places and work spaces of industry 4.0, in order to support transitions for existing workers into new jobs and prepare new workers for the workplaces and workspaces of the future.
