Stig is currently the Director of People & Culture and former Head of Employee Experience at the Special Broadcasting Corporation. Stig started out his career as a professional singer in the world of Opera and Musical Theatre before making the switch into a HR career. He started out as a Learning & Development specialist before branching into the generalist Human Resource & Talent Management space. After almost 7 years as a HR Manager at Australia’s largest media organisation, News Corporation, he joined Japanese international banking giant The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ leading the banks Talent Management strategy across Australia and New Zealand. With 15 years’ experience as a HR professional, Stig has established himself as an innovative and creative HR leader with a strong focus on Leadership, Talent Management, Organisational Development and Employee Experience.
Stig joined SBS in 2013 and he is a passionate advocate for the SBS purpose to explore and celebrate diversity. He is currently leading the charge for transformational cultural change at Australia’s coolest little public broadcaster. Stig holds a Master’s Degree in Human Resource Management from the Sydney Graduate School of Management. You might still find him from time to time treading the boards with some of Sydney’s independent and community theatre companies.
